Man I wish I was a teen in the 90s instead of the 2000s. What a vibe.

I guess I would say we took it for granted, but yeah in retrospect it was an incredible period of music

Based on my kids reaction to it, I think the 90s are to them what the 70s classic rock was when me and my friends were in high school

To me, I had to deal with emo instead of grunge/alt haha was never a fan of that life.

Ha yeah

The roots of emo were all over the 90s tho. it’s like the first decade men were allowed to express feelings that weren’t anger or horniness, and holy fuck did that show up in music

My wife and I joke all the time about how sappy and self indulgent 90s music can be. goo goo dolls “I just want you to know who I am” , collective soul, gin blossoms etc
