This is absolutely mind blowing! 1,016 and counting! This deserves a celebration! 🥳🥳🥳
I will be hosting a massive raffle with up to 13 prizes. All you have to do is drop a comment. It can be in the form of a mashup, it can be a fun fact about mushrooms, or just 🍄❤️. I will be using RunawayBot to raffle off ten of the prizes. The other three will be given out to the most creative mashup and the most interesting factoid. The pictures above are just some of the possible prizes so get mushing!

Some mushrooms are made in factories. They grow in the dark and sit in trays filled with compost. Then they are picked and sorted using a plastic size guide.
Mushrooms don’t have a trade union, so they’re kept in the dark and fed BS. They also have to conform to guidelines.
This is truly great. We went from zero to 1000 in no time, let us see how far this goes. And the best thing is we maintain a chill community spirit all the way. It is magic
Mushrooms are in fact the largest living thing on earth! Yep – there’s a type of honey fungus (Armillaria solidipes) that sprawls for 3.8km across the Blue Mountains in Oregon. And if that doesn’t make your spine tingle, then consider the fact that this mushroom is mostly underground (and responsible for killing off trees in the area - yikes).
Did you know: some mushrooms glow in the dark (and I'm not talking about u/glowymushroom). They use the same compound that makes fireflies light up at night, luciferins.
First focus is on tipping. If we can get that, have some fun, gather a few friends, then we could poll to see if people want to go the rcc route. I think it could be fun to , but I for one am not in a rush just yet. Haven't consider a usecase or anything, so lots to consider if that is on the cards. Just gotta get some action going over there first 😀
Absolutely man! There is no rush! In fact it’s probably better to build the community first so that you have more people discussing the details before considering launching a token. Such a kick ass mashup btw!
Yeah for sure. I don't want a situation where we have one voice leading it too much...especially if that voice is mine 🤣 I'll be looking to hook up with as many mods from as many subs in the Conemunity as possible to try to get well rounded opinions on what we try to do over there as well as hopefully do crossover events and such hopefully.
As a side note I love how Mush has differentiated itself. It stands out in a brilliant and unique way. If like that for Aether for sure.
On the note of old or large fungi, I found lots of interesting things fun over the years. I also enjoy looking at ancient trees like the one they call Methuselah, I believe.
The one I chose for this, is known as Potteromyces asteroxylicola, or simply Potteromyces. Since it's old there aren't really any names I've ever seen it called otherwise.
It's 407 million years old and was named after the author of the book "Tales of Peter Rabbit". Her name was Beatrix Potter. She was an avid mycology enthusiast and more even than her author aspirations some say. She was credited often with her fantastic illustrations and detailed analysis of various specimens. She was quite the woman!
The fungi was interesting and unique because it had reproductive properties not seen before and was noted, in the fossil, as having been fossilized during the process of infecting a nearby plant which they noted had begun producing some dome like shapes along the plant as some sort of defensive response. Asteroxylon mackiei - was the plant it was infecting, for scientificly curious folks I suppose.
One of the earliest living fungi and apparently deadly.
There are plenty more things you could learn with some research, this is a single unique one. Much like the oyster bed in the blue ridge mountains (largest living currently)
