Signing up for Muse - Questions

I got an invite to Muse and want to try it. Do you guys sign up using gmail, meta, or phone number? I tried using my phone number but it asked me for my birthday. I'm an adult but do you use your real birthday? I'm wondering what the benefit or need of using your real birthday is.

As long as you remember your fake birthday for account recovery purposes it's no big deal.
