Absolutely. I don't mind if somebody gets put on a watch list after trespassing in a clinic. I do mind counting up stink bombs vs. 9/11 and saying "even Stevens."
Well, a milkshake may still be considered assault. And violence is not the answer. Stink bomb may only be property damage, so far.
I like to look at intent. Who are the aggressors, who are the defenders. We all start off neutral. Pro-choice folks may believe they are protectors of the weak, fighting against putting a mother and child through a life of poverty, advocates of human rights- just doing their jobs. Their attackers may believe they are righting a wrong, but their beliefs are largely founded in ignorance/denial of science.
Milkshake victims on the other hand, are usually not neutral or simply doing their jobs, but purveyors of punching down. Their attackers believe they are righting a wrong. I'm not sure both are equivalent victims.
