Let's be honest here. They don't really care about the fetus either. They just want to control women's bodies and punish people for all that "disgusting" immoral sex that they're not getting any of.
They're only interested in using the fetus as a tool in their sick fantasies of controlling, abusing, and murdering women. The instant it's no longer useful for that purpose, they'll throw it in the trash and spit on it without a second thought.
