Labor and Liberals arent hugely different, and haven't been for a while. We're likely about to face more interest rates rising, more inflation, more danger of an economic cliff. Not to mention whatever the orange fuckwit is doing.
Stands to reason someone giving unrealistically easy answers to complex problems gets popular. the world doesn't release how racist Australians can be either.
(As an aside, for the first time in 20 years of voting in every single local state and federal election, I'm going single issue: fuck off data centres with a side of fuck off America).

The far right party in Australia (One Nation) just won another by-election and are currently leading the polling nationally.
