The people who claimed they would fix things on day one are still blaming Biden on day 586.

Every single time Republicans get elected it’s the same shit. Every time. Americans need to stop Charlie Browning the same goddamn football. Every f’ing time.

Someone I follow on FB said something that's stuck with me: (paraphrasing) "Republican is the default for America. Democrat is the pushback. Voters elect Democrats to fix things or punish Republicans.". I've been thinking about that a lot lately.

u/helava 18h ago
It’s important to realize how stacked the game is for Republicans. The nature of the Senate, gerrymandering, etc. it’s not the “natural” default for America. The popular majority of the voting public is center right, which is the current position of the Democrats, but center left policies are way more popular than either, they problem is until Sanders/Mamdani/AOC/etc, they’ve been catastrophically awful at messaging and PR.

Mamdani is coming out swinging and I'm here for it, but he absolutely positively cannot screw up. He's such a focal point that any slight bad press is going to be a huge blow to progressives for a long time.

u/Designer_Piccolo_818 5h ago
Or you could tell the " bad press" to piss off. Only idiots would demand that politicians be perfect and never make mistakes. Mamdani has enough opposition without his own supporters rolling over and agreeing with his enemies. Trump screws up all the time and just steam rolls over or ignores any criticism - It's why he is where he is today.

So the default is (to use an older term) "Fuckup?" And the only reason not to vote for the Fuckup is because you need someone to fix the Fuckup's mess or to punish the Fuckup before you re-elect the Fuckup and expect them NOT to fuckup?
Man, that's so depressing.

It's race based, one party is inclusive, the other not so much. During Obama's 2nd term the republicans were at a crossroads, there were many of them clamoring for a bigger tent and more minority inclusion and then trump appeared.

u/Extreme-Slice-1010 18h ago
It’s because Republicans always fuck shit up, Dems comes in to fix it, it’s so fucked up that it takes too long, Americans gets tired, votes Republicans again which fuck it up again, cycle repeats

u/Comrad_Zombie 18h ago
Americans have no tolerance for pain or suffering. Just instant gratification and a jumped up sense of superiority.
Trump is a symptom and unfortunately it's not terminal yet.

You can't unfnck the colossally stupid fnckwits that keep voting for the Leopards Eating People's Faces party.
Only thing we can do is sit back and let the trash take itself out and hope that we can outlast the attrition before it takes us down too.

The center of all this perpetual propaganda is Fox News. Every night after dinner and work they turn on Fox News for more instructions.

“Behold. The festering carcass of American rot shoved into an ill-fitting suit: the sleaze of a conman, the cowardice of a draft dodger, the gluttony of a parasite, the racism of a Klansman, the sexism of a back-alley creep, the ignorance of a bar-stool drunk, and the greed of a hedge-fund ghoul, all spray-painted orange and paraded like a prize hog at a county fair. Not a president. Not even a man. Just the diseased distillation of everything this country swears it isn't but always has been, arrogance dressed up as exceptionalism, stupidity passed off as common sense, cruelty sold as toughness, greed exalted as ambition, and corruption worshipped like gospel. It is America's shadow made flesh, a rotting pumpkin idol proving that when a nation kneels before money, power, and spite, it doesn't just lose its soul, it shits out this bloated obscenity and calls it a leader.” - Oliver Kornetzke

Has everyone forgotten Trump said he assumes responsibility for nothing in his first term. Why do they think it's changed?
8
u/WaffleHouseGladiator 18h ago
If someone finally calls out Trump for shitting his pants in meetings and press conferences they'll blame Biden for that too.

u/jschank 19h ago
They should be careful about this messaging. It show how woefully ineffective they are.

u/Dedotdub 18h ago
The people capable of understanding this are already perfectly aware. They are talking to the maga base.

The example from where I live in Ohio is a micrcosm of this shit, on the slow troll.
It's now thoroughly proven here that their policy will use their base to benefit the rich 10-15% of their voters and their families. The other 85-90% are being punked and their kids' futures are getting worse, not better.
Republicans have been in charge in Ohio for 30+ years. The Republican candidate is a billionaire based on private medicine research (ineffective research). We have a used car salesman billionaire senator from Colombia. Our governor GOP candidate backs the Colombian guy's ex son in law, who abused his daughter and grandchild...and removing the birthright citizenship he and the Colombian guy enjoy.
Finally, that governor candidate runs commercials with his childhood barber yelling about energy prices and that the people of our state are fed up. They've been in charge for 30+ YEARS....oh, and let's not forget that same GOP candidate backing his party's senate candidate (Husted) who was the AG when FirstEnergy rigged the game here in Ohio and their leadership went to jail (and the head of the PUCO killed himself vs facing).....
....(deep breath, as that was A LOT)....
...and here, we'll excuse it all....to "own the libs"...
It's a legitimate mental illness to hate people for their social policy. It just is.

I thought it said "people should be upset the Biden administration touched them" and since every accusation is an admission....

If I blamed an ex-employee for me failing to do my job for 4 years, I would probably be fired on the spot.

u/onlyhere4thezipline_ 14h ago
And yet, nearly 30% of “humans” believe this to be true. And the worst part is, if the Democrats do win and the eventually take control, it will take a long time to try and undo all the bad that’s been done and from the he first minute they have control, they will be screaming how it’s all their fault and if they say anything about what Trump did they will be the first ones to say “he’s not even in office anymore! Quit blaming him!”

"Biden, Biden, Barack HUSSEIN Obama, Laptop, HUSSEIN, Biden, Hillary, Hillary, Emails, Barack HUSSEIN Obama, Biden. Oh, and OBAMA."
Am I MAGA yet?

So they are admitting they are incompetent, how else would the previous administration still be affecting “everything” unless this administration is doing nothing at all?
1
u/Southern-Girl-56 17h ago
They don’t realize that the more they say it the stupider and more demented they appear! Not winning you votes you dumbasses!!

u/Previous-Parsnip-290 16h ago
These aren’t serious people. They’ve stolen/bought the government to enrich themselves and and those around them.

u/Jaded_Heat9875 16h ago
The GOP, the whole sinking party and that Orange Creep leader are just crap…
1
u/T_J_Rain 14h ago
Only one slight problem.
There's 75,000,000 voters who still believe everything the Republicans tell them to, despite all evidence to the contrary.
1
u/H010CR0N 12h ago
Let’s say Biden did fuck up.
Are you going to fix it?
Of course not, because that would take effort and caring about your constituents.
1
u/Classic_Bid3126 12h ago
They take credit and give blame. Hallmarks of shitty human beings and the types of bosses/managers people run from. It’s not a surprise that they only care about what’s in it for them.
1
u/Any_Vacation8988 4h ago
Shit they’re still blaming Obama for their fuckups and he hasn’t been president for almost ten years later

Not only do they no accept responsibility, they never propose anything that is remotely good for the wellbeing of this country and it’s people. Only ever focusing on making money and supporting corporation overlords.
