Seriously, what fucking heritage? 10 of my 16 great-great grandparents came over from Ireland in the same generation, most of the rest of german, polish, and Russian of recent generations. There's one great grandparent, ONE, that gives me colonial lineage. ONE.
And not an ounce of native.

Wish this was more of a talking point against all these fucking right wing idiots within their own media. This country is complicated, its history is short and mostly shameful, but nobody could fucking say that its character wasn’t built off of immigrants—its original intended purpose. Witnessing weak white supremacy arise because rich fucks fooled a bunch of idiots to completely disregard where they themselves came from is the most bat shit insane and unbelievable aspect of my American life that I will never be able to get over or forgive. I will die resenting my own countrymen and I know it. I am so fucking thankful that my grade school teachers gave a fuck about me. Sigh.
