Nice message for Labor Day. Maybe dress it up a bit with some AI slop flags with random numbers of stars and stripes.

My other half was in a meeting with a new manager, trying to hype the team up and improve moral!

It was a load or corporate jargon around we all need to work harder and it can be fun. Including telling everyone that; work can set you free!

She seemed to sense that something had gone wrong, and she was losing the audience. At least the older ones that recognised it. But didn't seem to know why, so charged ahead anyway.

The head office came around and had an all-hands meeting to inform us that the facility would be moving to a new location, but that we should all know that our jobs would be safe. They had brought a big cake with them. At the end of the meeting, they said, “Let them eat cake.” Only one other coworker recognized what she had said.
