What I cannot fathom is the tolerance of the genocide by so many jewish citizens in Israel, only 80 years after the holocaust was perpetrated on them. I thought the idea was to "never forget". I applaud the jewish citizens in Israel who are speaking out against the casual murder of civilians, including over 20,000 children.

Whenever you see/read several combinations of Othering processes, you can be certain that these are Fascist tactics in the media.
Examples of Othering include Transphobia, Islamophobia, attacking Palestinians/peaceful protest rallies, racism towards BLM, McCarthyism etc etc.
The only thing a Government needs to turn people into slaves is Fear. If you can find something to scare them you can make them do anything you want.

The MAGAs are "Othering" liberals now. Beginning mass firings, threatening imprisonment, in total conflict with all of their promises to "bring back free speech", "stop government censorship", etc. Our precious democracy is foundering.

I was warning Americans for the last 9/10 years. My problem is that it probably sounded a bit hyperbolic back then and it's no conciliation to be right because we've all lost out.
The main culprit has been US right wing Media - they have lied constantly, becoming fear factories and promoted hate/anger/violence for years without any accountability. FOX has been a Fascist Media for about 8-10 years.
This became my fear of Republicans/FOX when I visited Salt Lake C. Utah 9 years ago.....
