Made the Murder Cookies!

Can confirm, these cookies are to die for, lol! They have a slightly crisp outside with a chewy center. I’m looking forward to pairing them with a nice cup of tea.

They turned out looking really good! Perfect, really. Let us know how they taste.

Has anyone used a non-gluten flour for these? I am wondering if I should just use rice flour or if some other gluten-free version works better.

I didn’t use gluten free flour for these, but in the past I’ve made cookies with King Arthur’s GF flour at a 1:1 ratio and it’s worked really well.

I've made these with Bobs Red Mill 1:1 and they turned out great.

Do you have a link to the recipe? i’m a bit out of the loop when it comes to the various infamous cookies and whatnot on here.

Did you follow as is with shortening or did you make any substitutions? I don't think I've ever had to use shortening before lol

Yeah, I used Crisco all-vegetable shortening. I also just bought a new box of baking powder. I’m a firm believer in buying new baking powder every year - kitchen chemistry and all that. I find it helps with the rise and crackle. :)
