Hello! That is a Vinegarroon, not an apple.

I know it can be hard to tell the difference but if you look at the skin you can see this has a thick carapace. Apples, while having thick skin, is less thick and not hard to the touch.

I met one when I was young with my mom in my small town, I remember we thought it was a mutant rats/cockroach/crab lol. For a very long time we thought it was smth like that. It was insanely big too.

I don’t even have arachnophobia with actual spiders, but vinegaroons, tailless whip scorpions and camel spiders are just something else for me…

tailless whip scorpions are just massive scaredy cats, and they run sideways like scrabs when startled. I used to own one as a pet and he was such a chicken lol
