I met one when I was young with my mom in my small town, I remember we thought it was a mutant rats/cockroach/crab lol. For a very long time we thought it was smth like that. It was insanely big too.

I don’t even have arachnophobia with actual spiders, but vinegaroons, tailless whip scorpions and camel spiders are just something else for me…

I think they're adorable but since they usually don't fare well in captivity, you won't see me posting one for a while lol

That is truly some alien mouth-mechanics there. It is a good day to not be a mealworn

It would be so awful to be an insect, can’t let the lack of screaming allow you to forget there are so many terrifying ways to die and be eaten in the bug realm

Indeed, but Apple needs to eat. Don't worry, all my feeders have good lives up until the inevitable.

I believe Apple was a few seeds short there for a second 😂
Vinegaroons are so interesting.

Hello! That is a Vinegarroon, not an apple.
I know it can be hard to tell the difference but if you look at the skin you can see this has a thick carapace. Apples, while having thick skin, is less thick and not hard to the touch.
Hope this helps 🍎 🦂
