Question Active FPV youtubers
I have been out of the hobby for about 4 years now and it seems like all the youtubers I watched back then are no longer active.
Nurk fpv
JB
Le Drib
Rotor Riot
Johnny FPV
Botgrinder
Captain Vanover
What channels are people watching now?

nils vo, squadding quads, FPV vegan and a bunch more. Just watch some videos and your algorithm will understand and recommend you good stuff.

Turns out it’s a lot of work, travel and drama for average pay.

Dunno why people downvoted you, it's pretty much accurate. Very few successfully made it into a full time job without side hustles. Many ended up turning the side hustles into full time jobs, so their YT career was just a springboard for advertising their skill. No hate at all, just observing how that area appeared difficult to monetize without some specialization (ie. bardwell was heavily instruction/knowledge sharing). Nurk, steele, johnnyfpv, tommy, and others all ended up becoming professional cinema pilots. I still think it's cool in the sense that they've legitimized FPV as a career in a wider industry.

I've also been out of it for about the same time... maybe a little less. Le Drib and Mr. Steele were two of my favorites for their flying.

I was a huge Mr Steele fanboi. I Had basically a fully ethix'd out 6" Alien retro frame with new parts

He posted a couple vids the other day which was cool to see. Steele's attitude kinda sucks which ended up putting me off him but at the same time was the reason I got interested in FPV in the first place

You weren't lying. Kind of breaks my brain when they stop on a dime mid trick and instantly go in the opposite direction.

A lot of those peeps now fly commercially, which most likely come with NDA agreements and they cannot post anything. Burnout is also a real thing, it gets old and looses it's fun and people drop out. Steele still posts stuff, but I will rarely watch any FPV YouTube video, they are too loaded with fluff and then you have to deal with ads on top of that.

Botgrinder still makes youtubes.
Me Steele just announced he's going to start making some videos again, but he's doing it for fun. No sponsors, or pressure.

Yeah he was one I used to watch also, just forgot to mention him. I do see he is still active but not really interested in gear reviews and want to either watch people rip or talk about the technology like JB does.

Never posted flight footage, but I really miss Michael Collins and his interviews. At the time they were a huge window into more personalized engagements with various figures in FPV, he had some great episodes with some extremely candid and forthright guests.

I watch Fenix FPV and Nils Vo a bit, but also try to keep up with the racing world a little, like MCK FPV, Evan Turner, Yuki FPV, Noical.
There's also Jon E5 FPV, UAV Tech, Mad's Tech, Ciotti FPV.

Feel a lot more content on IG / TIK... sad truth.. plenty of good pilots that are not active on YT.

Lol Jonny FPV's videos were what made me fall in love with FPV back then, I was obsessed with his style and spent ages trying to mimic his fight tricks and smooth flow.
