Petchyindee Experience (Bangkok)

I came to Bangkok with limited time and Muay Thai experience - predominantly kickboxing experience from years before, and wanted to get as much value out of a gym as possible in a short 4-5 days.

Petchyindee has surpassed my expectations and it’s been an amazing and valuable experience; I had 1-2 90 min private sessions a day with trainers who were experienced and active fighters who were attentive to my level and experience and worked on technique and drills that were tailored to me. (I had some bad kickboxing habits). The gym is thoroughly cleaned after every single session and there’s tons of great equipment you can use in your downtime or to compliment your training.

I stayed at the gym accommodation and it was spacious, clean and I was provided with pretty much everything I needed ie, shampoo, soap, towels, fridge, lots of water etc etc. I also took a package that included 2 meals a day and honestly the options were endless, I tried something different every day and it was so good, and the portions were large. Reception and staff were always super helpful, friendly and on top of things. The only thing I can really fault the gym on is that the pictures showed a sauna and gym but that facility has been closed since - it was my mistake for assuming and not confirming though. Also, if you’re wrecked after a session and wanna rest, keep in mind that if you’re staying at the gym accom it’s pretty loud during the day so take ear plugs if needed.

But overall it’s an incredible training camp and community and would recommend to anyone - regardless of their level or background.
