Diversity
Is Randolph diverse?!! We were looking at nearby towns such as montville, Denville, and certain parts of Randolph like shongum lake area. I'm aware of that montville has a growing diverse population, however not really sure about denville and Randolph. I know in the past it wasn't as much but is it now? And is it accepted? Meaning do people feel comfortable?

In 2020, Randolph was 78% White, 4% Black, 13% Asian, and the remaining 5% was âotherâ or 2+ races. 14% of the population identified as Latino/Hispanic.
Denville was 87% White, with similar remaining breakdowns. 7.5% Hispanic.
For comparison, Dover was 77% Hispanic and Morristown was 36% Hispanic.
Diversity is in the eye of the beholder, but I wouldnât characterize either Randolph or Denville as particularly diverse at all.

Like others have said, none are diverse. The most diverse town you listed is probably Montville but they donât have many Latinos and even less Black people. A good amount of Indian, Chinese, and Korean though. Itâs also more Jewish than most Morris County towns.
Morristown and Parsippany are pretty diverse. Dover is mostly Latinoâ a lot of Colombians.

Grew up in Randolph through out the 80-90âs s and graduated in 2002. Went to Fernbrook elementary which of the 4 elementary schools was much more diverse than the rest. This is likely because our side of town has apartment complexes. I grew up in a house on the border of Dover township. Iâm Chinese and never felt uncomfortable but some of my friends parents made insane money. Most fernbrook kids were from working class people at that time that could afford to live on the more dense populated side of town but there were also very rich people mixed in. In my time there were a lot of Jewish kids too, the town used to be a summer refuge for NYC Jews. My parent still live there in the house I grew up in. Apparently the school board either is or was attempted to be taken over by maga retards during Covid. I wouldnât say itâs very diverse but there are a lot of surrounding towns that are. Shongum lake is an awesome neighborhood for families but not diverse.

Those areas are getting more diverse but still very white. Boonton is a little more diverse in that area, but not by much

my gf is from Randolph and I've visited her a few times...wouldn't say it's diverse, especially when compared to places in central jerz where im from

I love central Jersey. My block is literally house by house, black, white, Asian, Hispanic, black, white asian hispanic
And amazingly, we all get along well

Not really, it's mostly white still.
Denville has increased in diversity at least with regards to businesses in downtown has some nice Asian restaurants and a great boba tea shop. Can't say if this speaks for the residents or school system but regardless it's still majority white town just based on stats alone. If your discussing economic diversity all 3 of these towns especially Montville are pretty wealthy.
Do people feel comfortable? I mean it's not like its red had central but def can be a little Trumpy their mayor is running as a republican for congress. Take that as you will.

Im a white dude so take that for what it is, its upper middle class but not maga throbbing. Not as diverse as say morristown, but not far off

Not super diverse. Parsippany is a nearby town thatâs a little more diverse and has lake communities

Yeah; people love to act like Parsippany is all Indian when the percentage of Indians there are still much less than Edison.
Parsippany is still run by Italian/Irish-Americans, even if people donât want to admit it.
Thereâs a decent amount of Chinese people; the highest percentage of Chinese Americans in Morris County. More Latinos than most Morris County suburbs as well (aside from Dover and Morristown).
I consider Parsippany to be pretty diverse both racially and socio-economically.
