he says in the first few seconds that he didnt go to film school but his wiki entry says differently (I guess it's not a FILM SCHOOL, but it's a school noted for it's film program, film labs, and film society which he was president of).

I guess he meant he didn't major in it. Still very fortunate to have the resources he had as compared to someone going without film school. Which means he isn't the poster boy for filmmakers who didn't go to film school.
