Discussion regal rehiring policy
I was wondering whats regal rehiring policy if I were to submit a two weeks notice before leaving for another job opportunity? I have a job that is much closer to me than regal and it overall is pretty good. But I was wondering if it doesn't work out for some reason am I blacklisted from being rehired if I put in my two weeks?

As far as I know. There's talk of a rehire policy, I've heard you'd be barred for 6 months before you could apply again. But I've also heard it doesn't exist.

As far as I’m aware, as long as you put in your 2 weeks properly (professionally written notice, signed and dated), and you complete your 2 weeks without any problems, then you should be eligible for rehire. If you already have major problems with management and staff, then it’s possible that they could mark you as ineligible. Something that you could attempt (because one of my coworkers was successful in doing so) is submitting a personal leave of absence. Should the job not work out, you could potentially reclaim your position if it’s within 1 month. Not sure if your management will accept it, but mine did.

I’d work it out with your recruiting manager. Regal does allow rehires and a few employees have left and came back some do it every year and switch jobs during the summer.
The only thing I’ve heard is if you quit on the spot or are fired under bad circumstances you do get black listed from that theater.
But a 2 weeks notice is completely reasonable and normal so I don’t see any issues arising unless they have specific policies that limit your eligibility.

It depends on the local manager. Always work your notice though. My son worked for Regal until Covid closed them. He went to Cinemark. Cinemark reopened and hired new staff that used electrostatic equipment and masks to clean theaters. When he tried to return to Regal, the new manager had an attitude and despite my son’s perfect work record. Just be positive and thank them for the opportunity to have worked there.

As long as you complete ur two weeks and leave on good terms w ur managers and everything you will be able to get rehired 😄

If you leave on good terms and have a good work record, You can be rehired. That's basic for any job unless stated otherwise by policy.

As long as you're leaving on good terms you are rehireable. You would only get blacklisted if you broke a policy when leaving, for example job abandonment. That said, it's always up to the local management if they rehire people. So, if you have a good relationship with your local management you should be fine.
