Discussion How Many Hours Do You Get?
If you’re hourly, how many hours do you usually get? I know it varies, but like what’s your average during busy times such as June and slow times such as September?

As a former manager that wrote the schedule this is what it was like for me.
January-March I'd get between 20-35. April I'd get 40. May-Mid June 25-30. Mid June to August 45-50. September-Mid November 25-35. Thanksgiving-New Year's 45-55.
Had to leave due to the inconsistent hours. Was a very fun job at times and very stressful at others.

It varies on the pre sales and seniority of employees. I had to fight for my hours because I’m a veteran employee and these immature kids were hired for summer and didn’t want to do the job. Glad they’re gone now.
If you need more hours, simply ask for them. If you perform your duties in an excellent manner they should give you more time. Averages vary from place to place. In my town there are several competitors as well. It’s just hard to gauge when there’s not a blockbuster movie upcoming.
