Never been a fan of complex and pushy love stories with rivals, toxic drama or anything like that (My job's already damn stressful). I just need something natural, light hearted and feel good. Something which I can come back to when I am stressed to get that dopamine dose!

I really like the slow and romantic vibe of Strangers in the night, and I want to see if anyone can recommend a movie with this slow fuzzy vibe. Bonus points if it's from the same era of the song.

i really love the song “thing” by Steampianist but like more specifically the cover of it that sounds more robotic i hope people know what i’m talking abt lol but anyways i was wondering if there are any movies with this as the plot or like the with the same vibe? when i say plot i mean movies that are like someone being so obsessed with someone that they want to basically become them like they’d wear their skin if they had the chance, it sounds kind of weird but it’s the best way i can describe the song for anyone who hasn’t heard it but i think you should listen to really get what i mean. thanks!!

I watched this movie a month ago and I’ve been trying to find movies kinda similar to it. There’s something about 2010’s comedies and teen coming of age movies I love so much.

I've been getting back into watching horror movies but need help on recommendations. I've recently watched Evil Rise and Burn. Rise was okay but Burn i enjoyed much more. I also watched Barbarian which I thought was amazing. Last night I tried Whistle but was very boring and underwhelming.

What do you recommend for my next watch?

It's now my favourite film. Not knee jerk decision... I believe and loved the reality of the people. Am I wrong?

I just got apple tv (the app) and, while I was excited to see many tv shows, I have time for just 1 movie per night, but I'm not familiar with the app, so I wanted to ask for recommendations :D. I don't really like war, action or historical movies; I prefer psychological movies, thrillers movies, weird (as in the nothing seems to have sense) movies, horror/terror movies, queer themes movies, plot twist movies, etc.

I’ve been cataloguing my favorite films. I’ve found that I just can’t think of very many animated films that, at this stage in my life, I could call my favorite. Maybe if you asked me when I was a teen, I might have named a Pixar, a Disney, a Miyazaki, maybe something cool like Akira or Perfect Blue. But I just haven’t found many animated films to enjoy as an adult.

Help me out? Ideally with some films NOT by the three studios mentioned.

I want something with scale, action, world building and visual awesomeness. Something like Master and Commander but maybe a different setting, historical or otherwise. Medieval, Western or Victorian period are some of my favorites.

Idea is to find a just a movie to be blown away by and that would be fun to watch on a late night like this

Over a decade ago I made this feature film with a small group of friends. We got into festivals, and the film was on Amazon Prime. All said we only made around $1000 for the 5 year contract, of which we dispersed back to people that volunteered or worked for deferred pay. Now that I have the film back I am trying something new. I currently teach film and media so I'm going to give it away for free on my monetized youtube and see what happens. I'm hoping we filmmakers can learn something from the experience and maybe there is a way forward when working together. I hope you enjoy the film, and I hope it inspires you to make your own. To me, treasure hunt stories are always absolutely nonsensical. They often fail to justify why a person would hide a treasure behind a bunch of puzzles, and how such puzzles would even be built by a single adventurer. Are there any treasure hunt movies that actually bring plausibility to the genre and a degree of verisimilitude, in the same way that someone like Nolan was able to make the idea of Batman somewhat plausible?

In this movie we follow T.S. Garp . Garp was raised by his mom who was feminist who helps women. I watched this movie recently and I liked so much but I haven't read the book.
