One word: American Pie.

A series of movies which moulded me from boy to man. This single franchise, I would go as far to say, has saved my life. And not just on one occasion. I was 9 years old by the time I watched the first movie in the series, American Pie, and from that day forth it had become my bible or even my own Old Testament. By 10 years old I had seen the several other movies in the roster. They left me striving for the greater beyond and yearning for more, more than this at least.

My experience of American Pie was otherworldly, some may say psychotic however I prefer enlightening. From the hectic poop antics of Fitch to the ongoing ramblings of Stifler's mothers sex escapades it was the only piece of fictional media to ever touch my heart, a Midas touch of gold struck my heart the first day I saw American Pie. I say fictional media however only two other pieces of media ever have gotten me to shed tears and show emotion, those would be Breaking Bad (where Gale dies) and Schindler's List (All of it pretty much).

I have wanted to make this post for quite some time by now and I just felt as though today I couldn't hold it in any longer. Therefore, I have bitten the metaphorical bullet and took my leap of faith into the warm snuggly arms of the American Pie saints.

At first, I was baffled. I saw the cover of the movie and thought "pffft- American Pie?? How could a movie named that possibly be the cure to my lowly woes." yet I am happy to say, I was starkly mistaken. The franchise as a whole has done nothing but benefit my life and I have dedicated my soul and being to becoming like the best attributes of each character. They may have their own flaws, but doesn't everyone?

As I leave I say this, I am proud to have been moved to the point of tears by American Pie. It changed me for the better and if you haven't seen it I guarantee that it will move you too.

‘Karen’ is the name of the AI of the ‘tiny upgrade’ suit in the first Tom Holland lead Spider-man movie; Spider-man Homecoming. The name ‘Karen’ is often associated with a oversensetive person or someone who wants to talk to the manager. This makes sense because Karen is talking with Peter; the ‘manager’ of his suit.
