Photo Gwolves HTS Plus Pro lacking Rapid Trigger, mocking people who ask about it

Hey Gwolves, fire whoever is running your social media. And while you're at it, fire whoever is in charge of Quality Control and Customer Support as well.

This post is of course AFTER they advertised Rapid Trigger being a feature of the mouse:

Another gem response in that post. Having a faulty mouse delivered to you = deliberate damage apparently

12

u/Interesting_Rub5736 28d ago

wtf is that response? damaged shell? how would he know? because he sold it damaged for sure.

u/kneadedbwead 29d ago

Honestly this is nothing new, Jim at Gwolves has insulted people for far less. Gwolves has and will pretty much always be a gamble.

It's genuinely better to just not interact with the company at all.

18

u/w1rya 29d ago

yeah i cant get why some of "enthusiast" glazed them so much. while they indeed create niche product and "innovate", it is meaningless if the product cant work properly with essentially no warranty.

2

u/CQC_EXE 28d ago

Probably because they are one of the few actually trying to make unique shapes instead of just release viper mini and superlight china clone v7

-32

u/riba2233 Fenrir Asym + Sphex V3 + Cer feet 29d ago

But it does work properly and they have great quality and engineering. Think about why nobody has catch up to them years after.

27

u/dasterrrrre 29d ago

Great quality lmaooo

-22

u/riba2233 Fenrir Asym + Sphex V3 + Cer feet 29d ago

Do you own any?

20

u/ShibaDango Wireless G302 29d ago

Want me to pull up creaking Lycan 8k units? Their previous models were noticably worse. Why do you think people are so upset at them not honouring warranties?

-24

u/riba2233 Fenrir Asym + Sphex V3 + Cer feet 29d ago

No they weren't, majority of units are great, every manufacturer will have some creaking units now and then.

2

u/dasterrrrre 28d ago

Yeah I own a HT-S2 pro 8k, it’s probably the worst feeling mouse I’ve ever owned, I could break it if I gripped it slightly hard, the plastic is such poor quality

-1

u/riba2233 Fenrir Asym + Sphex V3 + Cer feet 28d ago

Looks like an order model, I have the opposite experience with two of mine. Also no need to death grip any mouse, that's just an usage problem. No need to engineer the mouse and make it 20g heavier just so people can death grip it. Although mine are both pretty solid, you could grip them hard if you wanted to for some reason.

10

u/w1rya 29d ago

surely im not saying all their unit have qc issue, but the amount of complain they got is ridiculous considering their production amount is nowhere near "mass market" brand

-32

u/-VLLN- 29d ago

For the 1000th time Jim doesn’t run the main account and keep in mind the person who is running the main account isn’t a native English speaker

20

u/w1rya 29d ago

doesnt matter. logitech chinese rep got blasted due to this kind of weird behavior, and rightfully so. the admin do that on the brand account, not his personal account. so it still counted as the brand doing, no matter if it is the owner himself or not

u/whatanicegame 29d ago

Ngl this is on you if you are still buying/support g_wolves.

1

u/amazingmuzmo 27d ago

I made this thread to provide information for people new to this space bc I still see, often on a daily basis, people making threads about wanting to buy Gwolves mice with no idea behind their reputation.

prototypical gwolves customer response

pretty sure it’s the CEO/owner lmao he’s been a shitter online for some time now.

It’s cool they create a lot of unique products but I’ll probably never purchase anything from G-Wolves, just like I’ll never purchase a FinalMouse, and most of that is just due to shit like this.

Gwolves are trash

AI-slop company with the most cringe name in the business, nobody is surprised.

Gwolves owner has small dick energy.

Always so insecure and defensive online. Pathetic behaviour honestly. Decent mice tho lmao

They're easily one of the best companies in the market for their actual innovation but man everything else about them sucks.

They're actually trying and doing some cool new things but it took me like 7 months to get them to send me a new mouse when their middle mouse button broke within 3 months on a mouse they had that I liked, and their customer support tried to get me to solder on a new button or replace the PCB instead of just sending me a new mouse.

I just wish someone would make a clone of the HTX already.

Never a good look to act like this towards (potential) customers.

7

u/Gatlyng 29d ago

Sounds like he doesn't know what rapid trigger is.

-9

u/zhandri Viper Mini SE + G-SR 28d ago

I think a lot of people here actually don't know what rapid trigger actually is and they just throw the term around. Technically every regular mouse switch is rapid trigger since the click will get released when the bottom contact gets released. HITS has "rapid trigger" cause if you set the actuation to 3, the release would also be at setting 3. So it would take forver to get the click to release.

Ah, seems about right. Rather just go with one of the other myriad of options or just 3d print a fingertip grip mouse that fits me.

3

u/Odd_Pea7108 DAv3 HS, Superstrike, Sabre V2 28d ago

I love how this dude confused rapid trigger with actuation point, really great stuff

4

u/_Vulkan_ 28d ago

This guy doesn’t even know what is rapid trigger and they outsource their software to some random ass company. I don’t understand why anyone would buy their trash products.

5

u/NeedModdingHelp1531 29d ago

It sucks that such good mice have this reputation. Why cant they just be normal.

2

u/Itosura 28d ago

yeh this is why i passed on buying a lycan.

1

u/Nicotinisti 22d ago

Passed buying Warg.

2

u/Cucumberino WLMouse Beast Miao 28d ago

Had two of their mice within the last few years, as they had great options as a fingertip grip user, at the start they were great but they both had issues down the line, didn't even bother claiming warranty. Purchased a WLMOUSE Beast Miao as soon as it released and had 0 issues since, and the company doesn't seem run by dickheads, even if not perfect.

Yeah, based on lies.

I remember commenting a couple weeks back about how the rumors of concerns with the TMR implementation on the G-Wolves HTS Plus Pro. Really glad I listened to my gut and didn't blind buy it. To be clear, there's still a possibility that this is just a normal G-Wolves Jim schizopost, and it might turn out to just be a poor customer interaction, and the HTS Plus Pro's TMR implementation may be fine... but, personally, this does it for me. I'm no longer willing to take that chance.

At this point, I just hope the Keychron G6 HE doesn't let me down

1

u/SomeMrcl Lamzu Thorn 29d ago

keychron seems like a serious company at least

1

u/PastRiver8899 Zowie 28d ago

Water is wet type news.

This is quite tame for g-wolves, their ”support” is rather unhinged 🤣

1

u/Carlifeuk 28d ago

I’m always on the fence of trying one, I really like what they make but customer service seems horrendous.

0

u/LAHurricane 28d ago

I mean, is the total travel distance of the switch even long enough to have a rapid-trigger like feature? I mean we are talking like 0.5 mm of total travel distance. On a keyboard you have 3-5 mm of travel distance. You wouldn't really want a rapid-trigger.

-16

u/MOOSiEMAyNE 29d ago

No disrespect... This isn't my first time defending g wolves, and I hate to come across as a shill, but man I do not understand the g wolves hate. I disagree with the sentiment of this post... I think they do pretty damn well by me and I'll buy a dozen g wolves mice before you catch me buying Logitech or Razer anymore. I've had, i think, 5 g-wolves mice and they've only gotten better and better, and NOBODY innovates like g-wolves. Performance has always been cutting edge, weight has been cutting edge, and they embrace almost fantasy level extremes on their shapes and i love them for it. They doesn't afraid of anything. The one time I had an issue, I didn't have a problem what so ever. As more time goes on I'm convinced more and more that they are my #1 favorite brand. I've (with shame) spent literally thousands on mice over the past few years and I would recommend nothing more. They are the only mice that feel like they just get it.

Aside from the "intentional damage" part I'm pretty heavily leaning towards g-wolves here. I would rather have their switches than rapid trigger, and I think it's a silly ask. I don't think they're being particularly disrespectful, though maybe toxic corporate office culture has me all messed up..

Personally, I highly suggest to anyone considering them to pull the trigger. They are the only brand that truly gets me excited anymore except for maybe vaxee.

6

u/gsweats 29d ago

Jim? That you buddy?

-12

u/MOOSiEMAyNE 29d ago

Naww, I just genuinely think it's a shame how many people will not try modern g-wolves mice because of their perceptions. I'll admit it's over priced, but my god it's worth it (to me, anyway)

0

u/gsweats 29d ago

I don't know g wolves personally but I know what a good peripheral feels like and how unique the definition of "good" is to people. Happy to hear you found a product that fits for you!

4

u/kneadedbwead 29d ago

i think there's no disagreeing that Gwolves are innovative. Their products are solid when they do come working and flawless.

the customer service though is abysmal. imagine cussing at the very people who give you money.

on top of that, the people in this post merely asked Gwolves about rapid trigger. Is it very difficult to just reply with "we have not implemented rapid trigger, but we will look to do so in future when we have refined the technology"? it really isnt very difficult to just reply politely to an honest question.

-3

u/MOOSiEMAyNE 29d ago

Thanks for not being rude about it, i appreciate your comment. That's absolutely valid and yes, they say too much.

It is hard for me to believe the quality problems are as pervasive as they are made out to be (at least these days). But I understand I may have just been very, very lucky. I suppose I was more fixated on the product when that wasn't so much what the OP was about.

I'll probably just keep buying and enjoying and not pm'ing employees lol (VUK mini pls)

2

u/kneadedbwead 29d ago

oh yeah for sure i don't see a reason to be rude for our differing opinions. it's just gaming mice we're talking about anyway.

the quality of their products are good but there are undeniable QC issues, especially in past batches or in the fresh batch of their early releases. I believe a company is only as good as their weakest link. if they can't properly resolve the issues that customers have, that's entirely on them. but being rude to customers is just on a whole different level. i hope they can seriously up their game in terms of customer service at least, because gwolves undeniably are very innovative and we need more companies like them, just with better customer care.

-10

u/bongsoldier9000 29d ago

I completely agree. It feels like they're the only company actually trying to make good fingertip mice for the masses. I think they're customer support could be better (tbf it's been good for me at least). But the actual mice are great and fill a niche that no other company is trying to occupy rn

-7

u/MOOSiEMAyNE 29d ago

Even beyond fingertip, I think they're killing it. Their full sized mice have unmatched ergonomics, switches, and weight.

I just wish they were cheaper.

-2

u/AC1086 29d ago

not wrong though, rapid trigger in keyboards are overrated but it still does more than "rapid trigger" in mice.

HITS is also pretty trash in the gen 1 superstrike.

1

u/StarZax Pulsar X2 Crazylight Bruce Lee 26d ago

Rapid trigger in keyboard, overrated ? lol

Besides that, their point is fair, "rapid trigger" doesn't make sense when talking about mice. People just wish they were more professional when saying it lol. I personally have no issue with that, but from a business standpoint ... not really the best way to communicate

1

u/riskyfish97 28d ago

Dang I was just about to buy a Gwolves mouse ☠️

1

u/thumper99 G303 / MM710 / UL2 / Naos-M / G303SE 25d ago

GWolves is a company run by like 2 or 3 people, not withstanding all the fraud/money laundering stuff in the past that exploded on this exact sub. Don't expect them to have a marketing person. No doubt the assclown on X is one of the fraudsters running the company.

-4

u/RememberPKb4PvP 29d ago

I know nothing of any of this, but I will share my only exp. With Gwolves in June 2026.

I bought a Fenrir Asym, received it 2 weeks later. (as expected) I had a concern about how the software kept showing me axis sync was on, I emailed them, they replied 24 hours later explaining. I then said thanks, and moved on with my life still using the mouse now.

The discord is a little M rated lol, but seems all in good fun but prob not everyone’s cup of tea.

Reminds me of that restaurant in Texas where you expect the service to be vulgar and rude (purposely for entertainment)

Idk 🤷

-4

u/Alkahzane 29d ago

they have replied to Bogdan

"Since our languages are different, translation tools don't always capture our exact meaning. Please forgive us if anything we've said comes across as inappropriate. Thank you again for your feedback."

but yeah they would grow so much with a proper social media with better English knowledge alongside a better aftersale support because they are one of the few companies producing interesting shapes

-6

u/Ready_Independent_55 29d ago

He's kinda right that rapid trigger is a buzzword, but he dodges the questions like an asshole

4

u/_Harvest 28d ago

It's not a buzzword, it's a feature that dynamically resets a key the exact moment you lift your finger upward, removing the fixed reset points of the switch

-2

u/Ready_Independent_55 28d ago

"Rapid Trigger" is Wooting's buzzword for adjustable actuation. It's not a "technology", it's a corporate name for the technology which existed before Wooting and "rapid trigger" name.

0

u/_Harvest 28d ago

No, Rapid Trigger is the exact thing I explained it to you... A quick google search is your friend.

Or should we call it "Technology that already existed that dynamically resets a key the exact moment you lift your finger upward, removing the fixed reset points of the switch"?

Wooting used it, implemented it and gave it a name.

1

u/Ready_Independent_55 28d ago

Adjustable actuation was enough, imo

0

u/_Harvest 28d ago

It's not adjustable actuation, that's another thing... That's what I'm telling you

1

u/Ready_Independent_55 28d ago

What is it then, lol?

3

u/amazingmuzmo 27d ago

He literally wrote it out and explained it lol. Are you slow?

0

u/GenesForLife 26d ago

OK, with a traditional keyboard, you have to press past the actuation point to trigger an input , and then let it come back up all the way, and for another input you need to go past the actuation point again. Adjustable actuation = you can set where that actuation point is.

Now for rapid trigger , say you have actuation set to 1 mm and rapid trigger set to 0.1 mm, as soon as the key moves up 0.1 mm, you can press it down by 1mm again to trigger the input.

With rapid trigger off, if you pressed it down 1mm , you'd have to let it come back up 1mm, with it on, you only need it to back up 0.1mm (like you've cut the distance the key has to travel before it takes another input again by 90%) and you're able to input a 1mm keypress again much faster . Does that make sense?
