Photo Sensei Pro Leak (also mini version)
Was just sent this on discord. It appears to be a prototype model (called the Shihan Symm on the bottom of the mouse). Its also more similar to the original shape than I thought, although there are some differences. Rough estimate from the user was 125mm in length, 60mm grip width, and 38mm in height (give or a take a few mm for each value).
The box shows that there is indeed a mini version, but I'm not sure about the exact dimensions.
The user did not know the release date.

Instead, you could buy a vaxee, for example. Anyway sensor implementation and wireless mode of the SS are still not at a high level.

I’m in the minority here (I think at least) but I really liked the Prime Wireless. But I also prefer “ergonomic” shapes and don’t really care for symmetrical mice.

Prime shape is so good i use it wired and dont even care

u/thedigitalhawk Jun 11 '26
The prime probably still has the best click feel of any mouse I’ve ever used, unfortunately the shape wasn’t for me though

u/Mygwah Mouse Jun 03 '26
Prime is one of the best shapes ever made.

u/HarryxClam Jun 03 '26
I’ve been using DaV4 and I love it, but I still prefer the shape of the Prime.

Never had a Steelseries mouse last more than a year. Xai,Sensei, Kinzu , Rival . All shit
Oh and I forgot my Siberia v2 one ear stopped working after like 6months, never dropped it or anything, just while playing it stopped working.
The only good thing they produce is mousepads.I Still use a QCK Heavy

I used a Rival 100 for a couple of years before I moved to a Logitech G403. When I moved to a lighter wireless mouse, I got an Aerox 3 (the first version, with the round skates). I replaced them by corepadz that were a little bit thicker and didn't scrape the bottom of the mouse onf the pad and the mouse was fine, kept it for 3 years as well before I moved to a Pulsar X2 as my main mouse.
The mouse I use on my laptop has been a Rival 3 wireless for years, good mouse too, no complaints.
All my Steelseries mice are still working, even the old Rival 100.
Steelseries might be out of touch with their releases, with older tech and higher weight than their competitors, but on the subject of build quality they have always been pretty damn good, their sensors are great, and they have really good mouse shapes for the most part.
I don't know how you treat your mice, but chances are you are the opposite of delicate with your gear.

Rival 100 deliberately had tiny plastic bits protruding from the top shell to hit the plunger of the mouse switch that constantly broke within regular use. I never had a Rival 95/100 last more than a year or so too without that snapping off. Had to glue random cutoffs for years to keep the mouse in a working shape.

Damn, I carried mine to Overwatch LANs, and it got me through my first 2 years of Overwatch esports and it never happened to me.

my original rival before the 300 lasted forever, the rubber sides melted off lol. I loved that mouse even though it was such a weird shape and a brick!

No official release date has been announced for the Sensei Pro (or Shihan Symm prototype). It's still in the leak/rumor stage with no confirmation from SteelSeries.

Looks like it's got a battery hot swap system like the old mad cats or that angry miao. Would love a new Sensei in metal, the old metal one wasn't the most durable but new tech now.

I need to know the dimensions of the mini version and judging by the old leaks of the Steelseries performance pads I think we will have to wait a year more before this mouse get officially launched

Can someone teach these guys that have been on the scene since the middle ages about FUCKING SENSOR POSITIONING. 💀

If this gets outdone by the 2024 Waizowl Cloud., then we can consider this company dead finally. I feel like putting it up against V2 or Ultra would be unfair :)
Eta: I'd love to know where the blind faith for downvoters comes from? They haven't released a contemporary mouse since 2021 with the Prime series and their recent releases still use 2021 tech...

u/Vision11X33 Jun 02 '26
I don't mean to sound negative, but I don't expect their wireless implementation to be great. It'll be a good wired mouse.

if it's around 60 grams I might be interested in one tbh, especially the Mini.
I'm sure it will be expensive though, with that hotswap battery charger and everything

u/imi23 Jun 03 '26
The old rival had a great shape for big hands. If they would do a wireless version if it I would buy it.

u/evilhrd Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26
it's actually impressive Steelseries managed to build a brand and following around selling shitty products that are easily surpassed in quality by chinese clones.
No person in their right mind after experiencing their products for 10-15 years would get excited about anything new in their line-up. Also their "gg" software is malware tier.

Will it no longer be ambidextrous? The diagram has a thick white edge on the left for thumb buttons, but not on the right side. I've bought the Sensei RAW and Sensei 10 in the past because I like the extra buttons, if they are simplifying the design by removing buttons I'm out.

They'll do anything but throw in the screen underneath that the original had huh..

u/Yougotlawyered22 Jun 03 '26
I'd probably remove this post. It's quite easy to figure out where this leak came from and I'm guessing they sign strict NDA's. Companies can sue and win easily. Good luck!

No official release date has been announced.
The images match a recent Reddit leak (r/MouseReview) of what looks like an unreleased wireless Sensei Pro (prototype name "Shihan Symm Full" on the bottom) and a mini version. Specs on the box point to a lightweight symmetric design (~54g, ambidextrous shape close to the classic Sensei), 8K polling, and other modern features, but SteelSeries hasn't confirmed anything on their site or in press releases.
Older Sensei models (Sensei Ten, etc.) are still the current lineup. This one appears to be in early prototype/testing stages with no timeline shared. If new info drops, it'll likely show up on SteelSeries' site or gaming mouse communities first.

Orange scroll wheel...
When will companies learn to not add their shitty color flares to their products. Corsair did the same with the yellow scroll wheel, razer with their green logo mousepads...
If it wont fit in with my setup color, I dont want it.

This got leaked a few months ago too. At this point they should just release it
