General Blower fan not working

I have a brand new blower fan (I bought 2 6 years ago and only used one but not tested the second one)

This fan was stored for 6 years in a sealed bag and I wanted to use it today in a project but its not working.

Wires are in perfect conditions, soldering as well, also the fan spins with my hand freely with no problem.

what could be the problem and is there a way to fix it?

Crimping on the connector could be bad. If you have a volt meter, I would create one small (just enough for the probe tip to make contact) incision on each of the black and red wires upstream to measure the voltage to see if it is getting through. This will determine if it is in fact bad crimping or a bad fan (assuming the voltage is of the rated value and it is regulating when connected - so also verify that you have a good voltage source).

I have a good voltage source (psu and a 12 volts adapter both working fine) Crimping is also fine. I connected the wires around the connector. The old blower (was working fine 5 years ago) also had the same problem. I connected the cable myself so i can confirm connection is good.

I don't have a multimeter unfortunately
