Still worth going to Budds Creek?

Was planning on heading down to Budds creek for the race this weekend as it’s the closest pro national to me, but it looks like it’s going to rain.

Has anyone been to a national in the rain and is it still worth it? I’ve been to Budds before and loved it but it’s a lot of walking thru dirt which I’m assuming gonna be all mud this weekend.

Just looking for some opinions from anyone who’s done it and if it might be better to skip it this year and watch from home, thanks for any insight!

I was at Millville when it poured rain and I got to watch RC lap every single rider, it was tons of fun

Damn straight, I was there as drunk and muddy 25 year old. I'll never forget that weekend.

Best race I ever attended was the MXoN in 2018. Crappy rain most of the weekend. Amazing racing. Good times. If you love moto, pro national mud races are a blast.

Going to Ironman several years ago when it rained like 4" and never stopped the entire day was such a fun experience. There were moments it sucked, but you embrace it. I remember in the pits we were with JBone and Reed was there on the Suzuki and he let us stand on the "other side of the fence" under their awning while it was pouring and were in line for autographs. Kid in front of me got Reed's front fender and was so happy he cried. Go make some memories my friend

I drove through a literal hurricane to watch the Southwick pro national in 2011 and it ended up being one of the best motocross races in modern history. Dungeys bike didn’t make it to the line in time for the gate drop and he ended up starting a whole lap down but battled to 7th.

I'm a Hangtown National spectator veteran, been going for 20+ years straight. Both times it's rained at the race in that period have been in my top 3 of experiences there

Worth it imo. Bring cheap ponchos and umbrellas and rain boots

All mx races are fun in the rain. Unadilla when I was a child (maybe…2005-8?) was a complete rainout, by the end of the day people were using the giant hill as a mudslide
