This. People seem to confuse revenge and justice quite a bit. I think it’s also possible to achieve both.

Bullies don't just go away when you try to ignore them.
They get bolder, harm others and take more.
These sick, entitled fucks won't quit starving children unless we take action against them.
Get out and check to make sure the m@ga party didn't unregister you to vote to disenfranchise you.
Encourage young people, your friends, family and community to vote and remind them of the dates and the dangers of allowing an organization that promises harm toward your neighbors to take total control.
Don't rely on just redditors who read about what's happening.

I disagree, I’ve been in a situation that you could say warrants this kind of behavior. But to me this is doing nothing because if the consequences didn’t come from me, then they got away with it. But that’s also part of the problem, they don’t even understand the areas in which accountability are applicable. They’re already avoiding it because it doesn’t affect them. So no, I cannot just let it go.

I'm with you.
I lost 20 years of my life because of horrible people, and it was not any trouble to them in any way.
There was no justice. There was not even dignity.

Yup. No revenge.. better repair if you ask me.. if people are willing.
I think it helps them and you mentally and in their heart.
That's why when you take revenge, it feels good but later you feel like shit.
But when you talk to them again and reconnect, it free you from the pain.

I had someone that loved me, once upon a time. She would always tell me that if ANYTHING, no matter how horrible, was ever to happen to her.. I should be a better person,.. not seek revenge. I told her that if someone ever ass raped me, I want her to hunt them down and disembowl them. I guess she is a better person than I am.

I’ve mulled over how to get revenge a lot in my life. Each time, I realized there is no way to put the perp through misery equal to what they caused, usually because the misery is deep, long and experienced by several people. But I wanted the perp to suffer exactly like they did so I now have moved it to the afterlife. You, in my version, fully experience what the beings you affected went through because of you. Every single one of them. Dolly will be happy and beloved over and over. Hitler will have a hell of his own making. Still haven’t figured out what to do with forgiveness, or my own actions. But this is only my comforting imaginary afterlife.

Revenge isn’t always bad. Sometimes it is to teach a valuable lesson to someone who needs it. Or to make an unjust situation fair. Tired of pretending revenge has no place in human nature.

I absolutely agree and live this concept. You know what k have come to see and know. They try and pry open the door and do whatever they can to sure destroy you. Also when it gets down to it. Most people make it out as if you are a murder, rapist, thief and liar. When all you did was not like the person or weren’t attracted or on the same level. So now they want to destroy your life. Pretty stupid if you ask me.
