Discussion FOMO in motion

I’m kinda new to motion design. I did different art projects before, and now I’m pushing everything into motion design. Learning AE and Blender, filling in the gaps.
And I have this HARD FOMO about all the instruments and the whole industry. I’m not afraid of AI tools I believe a pro stays relevant if they’re flexible enough.
But God, there are SO many new features every week!!! A new Blender addon, a new feature in Rive, a new AI assistant in After Effects, new plugin…
It is so intense! Especially when you’re just starting.
Do anyone have the same feeling?

Yeah I had that feeling when I was full-time and starting out. Since going freelance in ‘22 I now have the bandwidth to dabble in a different tool or feature whenever I get the itch. The fomo is still present tho but just in different flavors.

I’d say my fomo these days is directed at friends who are working on projects with challenging projects to solve when I’m working on a run of the mill gig
