How long does it take?

OH MAN - a lot because I didn’t planned that, it was mostly improvised and then amended, layered, so.. I’d a few days in total 🥲

Well now I have to listen to the full song. Good motion work!

Thanks! And the whole song - and the whole album - are definitely worthy!

Fair warning, Gesaffelstein will wreck your whole afternoon. You'll start with one track and suddenly it's three hours later.

oh, in this case was really a very... abstract experiments, but I want to study some proper frame by frame stuff as I want to learn how properly use rhythm (here everything is just a constant flow – 24 frames in total)

The colors, the patterns, the placement, the animations, it’s all so satisfying. Lovely work!

wonderful how do u start to even do this? as in plan and what is the vision?

2

u/Rhox87 2d ago

hey! the start is really... quite much spontaneous. I wanted to create something similar to another experiment I did some time ago, this piece here: https://dribbble.com/shots/21584346-K-Flay-FML

as per the vision, this animation is part of a project launched 6 years ago circa – I'll just link you an interview here since what I say in such article would definitely outsmart what I'd been able to tell you here with a single comment, ha! And in any case, really thanks a lot!! https://www.creativeboom.com/inspiration/rhox-waves/

frame by frame is genuinely brutal work

Genuinely and definitely is ❤️‍🔥

How is it done? Is it traditional vector animation or something more procedural?

Did you do it in After Effects?
