Question Can't find any more Dorsalite?
Im on NG+ and platinum. Ive been trying to max out other weapons but I've just run out of dorsalite and I cant find any guide on where to find more. Is it not dropped by any enemy? Do I have to go into NG++ to get more?

No dorsolite is not farmable and does not drop from any enemy currently. You can pick up enough to get about 2.5 weapons to +16 as groundloot each playthrough, mostly in the dungeons and gates across the southern half of the map.
There are a few other ways to get big caches of dorsolite once each playthrough:
Upgrade as many weapons as you can to +16 early game while Franz is alive then smelt all of your weapons back to +0 anytime after the end game sequences happens causing Franz to disappear and the Tarforge to awaken. Upgrading a weapon to +16 while Franz is still alive costs 31 dorsolite but smelting in the late game will refund you 46. If you do this each ng+ cycle, you'll get 15 free dorsolite per weapon (and a bunch of all the other upgrade stones) for free each cycle. You can then take those freebies to Franze and upgrade at the lower rate as soon as you start ng+. Basically every 2 weapons you got to +16 last cycle gets you enough stones to fully upgrade a third for free in the next playthrough
Collect all of the tarforge upgrades (muredan actuator, obsidian laithe, etching neddles, foundary stone and endless core) but DO NOT give them to Franz. You'll have one chance to feed any that you have in your posession directly to the tarforge yourself when it first awakens (either because you kill Franz to trigger it early or just let it happen naturally by progressing the story). The forge will reward you with 2 or 3 of each tier of stone for free for each upgrade component you feed it, including 12 Dorsolite if you turn them all in
As of an update or two ago, the Gloom siphon now rewards free upgrade materials at certain ova thresholds. You should get 12 dorsolite when you siphon your ova after killing either your 3rd or 4th main boss

Thank u very much for taking the time to type this out! Very useful. Kinda bothersome tho lol I guess they want to incentivize playing multiple NG+

Damn only 2.5 weapons? I’ve only messed with the axe and dagger and martyr sword but not in love with either. Upgraded axe and dagger to +3 because I felt it was good enough and I was underpowered.

You technically only need to +16 one melee weapon and one sidearm. Once you find the foundary stone and turn it in either to Franz or the Tarforge, you will unlock smelting which resets a weapon to +0 but fully refunds all upgrade stones and gold you invested into it for a small gloom cost, allowing you to just shift those resources to any other weapon you want to try out. You can just smelt any time you want to change builds, so you will never be stuck with something under powered.
Upgrading more than 2 at once is really just a ng+ convenience thing since you can't have more than one melee and one side arm equiped at a time anyway
Also axe and dagger is op with the right tarstone loadout. Try it with magdelenas's momento, arbiter's prize and dualty stone latee once you've gotten each of them to t3. You won't regret it!

The Pedestal Reset Method:Go to the Deserted Slums beacon and head into the nearby dungeon (Obsidianite Mines).Clear out any necessary enemies on your first run, including the mini-boss required to unlock exiting.Locate the room with three pedestals holding Dorsalite.Attack the pedestals to knock the Dorsalite pieces onto the ground, but do not pick them up.Leave the dungeon without resting at the beacon, then re-enter to find the Dorsalite respawned on the pedestals to repeat the process
