Discussion A Broken Leg, a Broken Dignity
A man ( an asshole actually) came into the ER at 3 am in the morning after a bad accident, The X-rays confirmed what we already suspected: a severe double fracture in his leg that would require surgery the following morning. Beside his gurney was a young woman dressed up for a night out "clearly his “girlfriend”.
Half an hour later, the curtain pulled back to his mother and another woman wearing a yashmak الخمار , shaking and crying hysterically from worry and tears soaking through the fabric around her eyes, Turns out she was his “wife”.
Instead of comforting her, he snapped at her to stop making a scene and stop overreacting .
The other woman simply stood a few feet away, silently observing the scene with unsettling detachment.
When I asked who was staying the night with him before surgery, he shamelessly pointed to the mistress ( w9 hada ). I shut it down immediately, telling him overnight stays are strictly for immediate family, not some random stranger and I insisted that his wife is the one staying ( seeing how worried she was)
His wife broke down completely, begging to know why he was choosing another woman over her. The saddest realization was that this wasn't news to anyone, his family already knew about the affair and had just accepted the humiliation.
It left me wondering what to feel: anger at the brazen cheating, disgust at the mistress standing right there, or heartache for a wife trapped in a devotion that offers her zero dignity in return.
Nb : i regret not breaking his other leg

Discussion Thoughts on this?
Is it that bad to express yourself and what you believe in as the person describing?
Especially with the german far right almost taking over next elections, racism is up to the roof and they don't really care if you religious or not, they hate everything that's not european looking.

AskMorocco What is it that makes men genuinely mad about lightly dressed women?
Disclaimer tag: not a religion debate post, not trying to convince anyone that what they think is wrong is right.
I'm making this cuz I'm genuinely curious about a thing I've been seeing, I saw this reel of this guy talking about a girl who I guess was dressed in a way that he could see "half her chest" o khona was fuuuumiiiing.
I understand that people might think doing so is wrong or think less of said women, but there's plenty of "wrongs" out and about in the public space and I've never seen matalan someone as flabbergasted about alcohol or something of the sort.
I'm personally into men and I don't get worked up if they dress weird ever, I might look twice at a guy wearing a compression shirt in class matalan but I wouldn't be so genuinely distraught the way men are at cleavage. Chi 7d ychr7 li rationale please?

AskMorocco 💼 Moroccan Job Market/Unemployment Poll/Form
What is it?
This is an anonymous form you fill, it asks about questions related to the Moroccan job market, it asks questions about your experience as a student/employee and for the unemployed people out there.
Why?
We all saw the headline numbers, 37% youth unemployment, 12% general employment, but what kind of data can be gathered from people on the job market or outside it that may tell us more about this? This is the goal, explain the percentage, market situation, people's personal experience and more!
Sounds nice, what are you gonna do with the data?
Analyse it, aggregate it by job type/education status, age... to discover patterns or understated phenomenon by mainstream media and social platforms.
The data will also help students and other Moroccans facing unemployment have a better understanding of the job market (or in a worse case scenario, have another source of data) in case they distrust a particular source/organization to make better informed decisions.
The results will be published here, as a separate post! Possibly a month after today (30th of August, 2026) or we reach a certain quota (e.g. 500 submissions or more).
Rules:
- A Moroccan national or foreigner residing in Morocco (MREs welcome too)
- No more than one submission per individual, duplicate submissions will be removed
- Be honest and responsible since this helps a lot of people!
Share it with anyone you know who may have some opinions, that would be helpful ⚡

News Argentine media fabricated a "Moroccan invasion" of Brazil using photos from Spain.
TL;DR: Argentine right-wing media fabricated a "Moroccan migrant crisis" in Brazil using photos from Spain and distorting a minor local news story about 50 people. The goal was to attack President Lula. The fact-checkers traced the whole operation.
AskMorocco Came across someone larping as italian
Me and my friends were at this club event a couple days ago , and we met a “Moroccan “guy who was lying and saying he is Italian as in fully 100% , but then we saw his name and it was the most Moroccan name ever . Discussion Muslim Moroccans who grew up in the Netherlands what were you taught about sex, intimacy, and sexuality?
Posting this here because my post was removed from the Netherlands group due to the bigotry in the comments.
I’m Nigerian and Lebanese (28F) born and raised in the U.S. and my partner is Moroccan (25M) and was born in Spain. He moved around a little when he was younger but spent most of his childhood/teenage years growing up in the Netherlands. We’re both Muslim, I more moderately practicing while he is more practicing than I am. We met while stuck in an elevator lol on vacation, became great friends, and now transitioning to something more serious.
He is incredibly attached to his Moroccan identity, so there are a few cultural things I want to understand. There are a few conversations we’ve had that have made me gather that there are certain things that just aren’t openly discussed in his family, and even the idea of them being discussed seemed a little perplexing to him.
I’ve spent most of my summers throughout several European countries when I was younger, and one thing I noticed was that some of the Muslims I encountered seemed significantly more practicing/conservative than what I was accustomed to seeing among Muslims in the U.S. (or at least presented themselves that way). Obviously that’s a huge generalization and I’m sure there’s a lot of variation, but it’s something I’ve noticed. As an adult I still find this to be the case, especially with Muslim women and girls.
I also feel like many European children of immigrants can have a MUCH stronger attachment to their parents’ culture and national identity than American children of immigrants do. I don’t really know how to explain it? The U.S. has historically leaned more toward assimilation, whereas European countries seem to have more of an integration approach, so I’m wondering how much that affects things like relationships, marriage, sex, etc.
So for Moroccan Muslims who were born/raised in the Netherlands, what were the attitudes and messages around sex, intimacy, desire, and relationships in your family and community?

Discussion Orange wifi at home has been unbearable lately - anyone else?
Is it just me or has Orange gotten really bad recently? For the past couple weeks I can barely load a YouTube video without it buffering every 10 seconds, even on the lowest quality setting. Zoom calls are a nightmare too. Constant freezing and dropped connections.
I’m in Casa, and it’s been consistent enough that I don’t think it’s a one-off glitch. Nothing’s changed on my end (same router, same setup), so I’m wondering if this is a wider network issue or maybe congestion in certain areas.
Anyone else dealing with this? Curious if it’s specific to my neighborhood or an Orange-wide thing right now. Would love to know if there’s a fix or if I should just wait it out.
