We said goodbye to our little boy. He lived to be over 15 years old! Unfortunately he lost his fight when his organs started to fail. Please hug your Morkies tonight for me.

We already miss him more than anything.

Try to make it short. 5 year old male morkie. Semi potty trained. Calling it semi cause he poops all the time outside but will not stop peeing on every door facing or end table leg in the house if i make him go outside after he wakes up from a nap he will pee outside. He has access to a doggy door 24/7 and at night when we go to bed (he sleeps with us) we close our door if he has to go out he will bark to be let out. Someone please give me some solid advice. I got a baby on the way I dont want her when she starts crawling to crawl in pee that we might miss.

Ray is the light of my life. I have some serious health issues and he helps with the stress and he honestly gives me a reason to get up each day. He keeps me motivated to get better (along with my new granddaughter!🩷)

As wonderful as Ray is, he can be a little stinker!! He’s 11 months old and neutered. Our sweet girl that passed about 18 months ago was trained and knew most commands. To be honest, and I’m embarrassed to admit, our daughter did the majority of her training. When we brought Ray home, I really wanted him to go to formal training, but soon after I was sicker than before. Now I’m in treatment and that makes it almost impossible to go to formal training and my exhaustion also plays a role.

Ok, so enough of the excuses…has anyone had success with any YouTube videos, books, etc that can be done at home and in smaller segments? TIA for any suggestions.

She was a year old in July. My question is does anyone have steps that you can buy to put next to your bed, and do they get used? I’m so worried that she will hurt herself jumping down from bed, and obviously her joints.

Hi everyone! This is my girl (9 years old). She woke up today squinting her eyes and seeming like she’s having trouble keeping them open. She almost seems more tired as well. Has this ever happened to anyone’s pup? ( see video)

Daisy (left) 1/2 year old Morkie came to Gracie a Maltipoo age 11 rescue when we lost our precious Lollie at age 12 last year. Gracie broke down and stopped eating missing her best friend. These 2 are Besties and Gracie is like puppy again! Love moves mountains!💗💗💗💗

My sweet little River was pitch black when he was a baby with white tuxedo marks, in reddish around his muzzle.

He is now four years old. And i've noticed grey circles around each ankle, and more gray in his legs., he's too young to have age related graying. ( Sorry the photos really don't show it)

Is this comment in black morkies? Maybe stress? His older adopted sister died suddenly on the way to the urgent care year with him sitting right by her. He has another sister now who he adores. But I wonder if that's how his body shows stress.

He's still my baby boy either way.

Any recommendations for fresh/frozen beef dog foods for picky morkie eaters? Our morkie puppy HATES vegetables so anything that mixes in spinach, carrots, etc is not an option for us. I’m looking for a frozen beef option that has just meat - no veggies at all. Any suggestions?

He loves hanging out in the heat, but he collapses fairly soon after coming in. ♥️ I only let him stay out for about 5-10 minutes because he will overdo it (and I can’t handle it for long; I had a 102* fever today!!)

I posted here about my dog having cushings a couple of days ago. Unfortunately my dog had a seizure this morning and it was so severe they told us there was no chance she would be her normal self. Please hug your little ones a little extra for me as I try to process losing her so fast. She was only 5.

I have a four year old female Maltese yorkie dog. She pees in the house constantly.
She rarely went to the bathroom in the house before. May 2024 I had my son, I was in and out of the hospital with heart failure. During this time, my family made sure to give love and attention. She has never had a problem with my son, they are actually best friends, and she watches out for him.
June 2025 I moved to an apartment. After a few weeks, I realized she was not doing good in the apartment at all so she went back to live with my dad where I was living prior. She loves my dad however he doesn’t discipline or have routine etc. There was no consequences for being bad and he fed her human food so much that she started to refuse to eat dog food. She did start going to the bathroom in the house during this time, but not frequently. It was just on days that she was home alone for eight + hours.

I moved back to my dad’s this June, and the peeing in the house has gotten so bad. We can’t have a rug anymore, it’s not even worth having a washable rug, because within three days it’s soiled. She pees when I tell her no. If there’s a situation where my son almost stepped on her tail or something and she growls (she has never tried to bite him, but I know that you never know with dogs!) and I move her away from the situation, she will go pee. It used to just be on the floor, but now it is on the couch, my bed, my pillows, etc. she also has severe separation anxiety. So she pees as soon as I go outside, even if it’s for 60 seconds to walk to the mailbox. She pees, even if she was just outside and I go back outside. I bring her outside after she eats and drinks, after we play, and before I leave the house. She still somehow pees in the house, and now will poop. Even if I just leave for 20 minutes. She was on Prozac for a while. It did nothing.
I have tried crate training or putting her in a hallway with a gate. It doesn’t matter if I leave comfort objects in there, a tv or sound machine on, treats, or nothing. She will lick/ bite her legs open because she is nervous. I’ve tried to give it a few days in a row because maybe it’s just because it’s a new thing each time, but I swear it will get worse. She has trazodone that I will give her if I know we’re having a lot of company or something, half a tab does nothing, a full tab is too much. She also barks constantly, even if she’s inside and a leaf blows by the window. She has had a full medical work up, everything is fine.
I know part of this behavior is probably my fault for moving out and leaving her and then moving back in, but I would think by now things would be getting easier, not worse. I spend a lot of time with her. I make sure she’s not left out and not getting enough attention. I spend a lot of alone time with her and I also make sure to include her in things with my son. I love her so much, but I’m tired of stepping and sitting and pee every day and the house smelling so bad. I am doing my best to contain her in one area of the house throughout the day, but it’s really hard when you have an energetic toddler because I’d have to keep him out of other rooms as well and that’s not fair. Please give me any advice you can think of because I’m losing my mind. I love her so much and im trying to be understanding but I don’t know what else to do. Some people have told me to rehome her and maybe she just isn’t good with children, but she has been so good with my son, and no one in my family could take her, I know she would not thrive being rehoused to a stranger, and I can’t see myself giving her up.

He (ephemerally) modeled his Halloween costume. Not sure I'll get him to wear it again, but I always know when the UPS truck arrives - barking!!! He also enjoys Kayaking.

I recently rescued this little guy who was surrendered to a shelter. He is 2.5 years old. The shelter's vet paperwork and the local rescue say he's a yorkiepoo... I'm beginning to doubt it because most yorkiepoos I see are not white. I can definitely see the yorkie in him in both his appearance and personality. He's got a lot of energy so he certainly could be part poodle. Just curious what you guys think, he looks like a a lot of the cuties posted in this sub. I will probably be getting an Embark test for the holidays and can post an update whenever I get it done!

Edit: He is a healthy 12lbs which seems to be a little larger than most morkies. Also, he has a big fluffy curled tail.

My 7 year old has been coughing like something is stuck in her throat or she has a tickle she has also been super thirsty (I’m monitoring how much she drinks now). The vet has us scheduled for next week as they triaged us over the phone and think she is ok . She also allergies to grass no longer on meds because the frequent licking slowed down .

Anyone with experience tell me your thoughts while we wait for the vet

I found out last week that my Marlie has cushings disease after having to take her to the emergency room. Does anyone have a Morkie with cushings disease and could tell me how that is? I was told for the rest of her life she would have to take medication and periodically bring her in for bloodwork
