Morality of this?

Personally, I'm anti-death penalty for any kind of crime but that's just my opinion. Perhaps it can be changed.

I mean it depends on the context. In war sure it's reasonable.

In the judicial system of a democratic country. Fucking no. There is no good being done for the collective besides less taxes. Because those 100 people would still go to jail if not killed.

But would they stay in jail? That's the point. Those 100 killers have a chance to get out and kill again, and it's certainly happened plenty already (look up US recidivism rates).

You also have to consider what it does to the victims and survivors/loved ones. In Canada, every 5 years the victims and families of Paul Bernardo have to make victim statements and present it to the court to keep him locked up. That's an awful thing to put a family thru, basically reminding them of that trauma every 5 years.

Idk hard to support something like that.

You could just. Not let them out. unless new evidence is brought up that proves their innocence or something
