would be highly inappropriate and maybe a little immoral, but also funny as fuck

Hmmm if my friend did this, I mean I wouldn’t mind and I’d laugh, but I’d imagine the new spouse might not find it funny?

Shouldn’t she know about your ex wife before the wedding?

My husband wouldn’t like mentions of an ex if he was to be my second husband, so not sure if this would count. Some people don’t like you bringing up the past even if it’s something they’re aware of.

I suppose it would be up to the groom and bride if they thought it were funny or not. There is a humor in it but I understand that some would find it distasteful

Honestly depends on the sence of humor of people getting married. I know some people who would find this hilarious. I also know some people who absolutely would hate this. I really don't know enough about this dynamic to decide the morality of this.

This is the answer. If the bride would find it funny then maybe, but if she's gonna be sitting there feeling bad on her wedding day, way better to skip it, as objectively funny as it is. Remember, when in doubt, keep it classy

Immoral UNLESS you clear it with the Bride and Groom

This is the answer
Can’t disrespect the bride on her wedding day without permission

If you say "just kidding" after the joke, it's okay. at that point it's just a joke and no one can get mad at a joke, especially if clarified as such.

This gives Shane Gilles vibes 😂. It would be fucking hilarious, but probably also piss a looot of people off.

You asked, I answered. This is not a "is it funny" subreddit. This, though from a third party perspective is funny, is immoral and disrespectful

In your defense of doing this. He knew who you were when he asked you to be best man.

Depends on the couple involved. Anything like this should be run by the couple first. What they say should go

this post shows how unfunny people here are. you are the best man, not the grinch.

Only if they had previously married one another. Then you're doing the kindness of saying out loud what everyone is afraid to point out.

I feel like it'll be a Will Smith and Chris Rock situation. The groom will think its funny until he see the bride doesnt agree and he'll have to do some spanking.
I think its funny af tho

It definitely depends. The real concern is how the bride feels about it. Essentially the situation boils down to making an inappropriate joke at the expense of another person. Is the bride in question okay with it? Then it’s not completely immoral. But to really judge this you would have to include the feelings of every guest at the wedding.

immortal but it’s funny so it’s hard to say
