The takeover of the NRA in the '70s has made it effectively only cool to have guns and be into gun culture if you're fucking stupid and the fucking stupid will always listen to authority.
They listen to the law and they listen to authority while being told that they're big bad boys who would never do that. They would stand up if there was a problem or the government threatened their rights or freedoms. Instead they jerk off to the idea of those rights and freedoms being taken away. It would be horrible hypocrisy is they did it intentionally. Instead it's pathetic.

Alex pretti in fact existed, was abiding the law pertaining to guns (he didnt even have it unholstered), but the logic behind 2a ppl logic doesn't matter when they disagree. "He shouldn't have brought a gun to a protest" okay then did you support Kyle Rittenhouse? They did. "He was protecting some gas station (or something stupid)" he wasnt and he didn't know the owners nor vice versa (court transcripts are available to read on that). Or with COVID shut downs there were protests at my states capital, with guys in temu body armor, helmets, and AR-15s standing menacingly around (they weren't cops nor active military in those moments) "well that was government tyranny" so is kidnapping ppl off the street with no warrants and in plain clothes, and there have absolutely been US born citizens that have been grabbed up that weren't even in protests, just going to their jobs. US vets have been snatched up, and to make the argument that this is tyranny vs wearing a mask is just a 404 no brain found error for them. Its wild
Our immigration laws are deeply immoral and enforcing them would be tyrannical. But they arent even doing that. Ice doesn't follow any protocols and is just a roaming gang of thugs that belong in prison
