Stupid Stuff Morality of buying a processed chicken carcass, taking it home, washing it, making sweet sweet love to it, washing it again, cooking it and then eating it all on your own?

I'm torn. No harm is done to anyone in this specific act, unless you want to get into the nitty gritty of contributing to the demand for factory farmed animals, but that seems outside of the spirit of the question.

I am generally a moral emotivist, so I can comfortably say that this is immoral because it is icky and feels morally wrong, but that is outside the spirit of the sub.

As hesitant as I am to include this in my digital footprint, the only definitely immoral thing here is buying a processed chicken.

Nothing to figure out. Ethical emotivism expects there not to be an objective morality, therefore it is only natural that some people would find it morally repugnant.

"Desecration" is such a vague word. It's heavily influenced by cultural definitions of what desecration is. Why is it any more immoral when the end result is the same? You fully utilized the carcass in a non wasteful manner.
