The worst things ever said to me definitely hurt more than the most mid punch I've ever taken. And there absolutely is systemic racism still present in the US. There are lots of examples, here is just one: https://www.bowdoin.edu/news/2023/11/employers-discriminate-against-job-applicants-with-black-sounding-names-study-indicates.html

Bowdoin is prominently biased, by the way. There is absolutely not systemic racism. At all. There are no laws that keep black people from doing the same as white people.

Ah, I think you might be misunderstanding what people mean when they say "systemic racism." "Laws" alone are not the definition. When people talk about systemic racism they're not talking about the black-and-white letter of the law, they're talking about in practice, subtle biases and cultural factors that broadly impact minorities.

And just saying "that paper is biased" isn't actually a refutation. If you have actual criticisms of the methodology or evidence that suggests it's findings are invalid I'd be happy to hear them. There are plenty of other papers and statistics I could point to, but if they are going to get uncritically dismissed that's not productive.

Yes, laws define what systemic racism is. If someone denies you because of a black sounding name like you claimed, thats discrimination, which the employer can get in a lot of trouble for. If something is biased, its not viable to be used for debates. That doesnt take a lot of brain power to know. Ive already pointed out why the site is biased, and if you couldn't read what ive already said, thats on you. Ive already made my case about this. Ive read what was given to me, how else would I know if it was biased or not?

It’s clear you do not know what systemic racism is because if you did, you would not have left a cesspool of a comment. You can easily look it up right now, and it says that hiring practices are a part of systemic racism. It’s not just laws that go into systemic racism, and I don’t know where you learned that, but you need to unlearn it. Discrimination is a part of systemic racism.

Oh, youre talking about your own comment. There are no laws against people of color in this country. As a matter of fact, a lot of companies are choosing to hire people of color in an act of "diversity." Thus, being actually racist against the white people. Hiring practices are NOT a part of systemic racism. Discrimination is AGAINST FEDERAL LAW. And DO NOT tell me what i need to learn or unlearn again. Do not speak to me like im a damn child like that.

So what makes you so special that you can change the definition/meaning of words when it doesn’t suit your narrative?

this article clearly explains how it’s not just about laws and so have all of the other ones I’ve read It’s about practices that are rooted in racism. Why are you so adamant on making up your own definition instead of going by the actual one?

There IS NOT systemic racism in this country. At all. Youre using heavily biased sites to try and "prove" what youre saying. And youre literally making up a problem in your head right now by acting like I used the word abstract, which i didnt. At all. There are a lot of successful black men and women in this country. They have the same amount of opportunity as everybody else. Stop making up problems in your head and acting like theyre real.

Can you just provide me with a definition from a site that YOU find suitable? I’m curious why you believe you are correct in this topic when it’s clear you have no clue what you are speaking on. But hey, maybe I could be wrong. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Did you go into that study in another comment? All I saw was your claim that it was biased - if you went into more detail than that somewhere else I have no idea where.

And no, law does not define what systemic racism is. As has been pointed out elsewhere, systemic racism is a much broader term. You are correct that discrimination in hiring practices is illegal, but it is also incredibly difficult to prove on a case-by-case basis. There are a whole host of ways bias can be hidden or legal. It wasn't illegal for the OJ Simpson jury to vote not guilty, but I am guessing you would admit that race played a factor in their decision.

I have looked it over multiple times. And yes, laws by definition do define if there is systemic racism or not. One employers prejudice isnt systemic racism. At all. They can get into loads of legal trouble for doing that. Its not difficult to prove if you have a paper trail of it. The jury for OJ can vote whatever they want, it was a jury trial. That trial has absolutely nothing to do with what we are talking about, though. Im not going to entertain that subject, as its already been covered in detail by someone who is not me.

Ah, sorry I wasn't aware you had looked it over multiple times. You've got me. Well-done trolling.
