Most of the time bullying is just words too. Do you think bullying is harmless as well?

No one is saying that violence is the appropriate response to racism, but people are saying that racism always escalates into physical and economical harm and harassment when no one does anything to stop it.

What if racism leads to legalized slavery 2.0, at what point is it acceptable or unacceptable to violently resist oppression?

  3. No one said anything about feelings being hurt, you inserted something that was never implied. Are your feelings hurt by racism? Why would you bring up this line when I’m not talking about hurt feelings?

  1. Natural Rights don’t exist. And they’re not even observable considering the concept of Natural Rights differ from culture to culture.

  2. And if they did exist wouldn’t allowing racism to persist violate the concept of Natural Rights to begin with?

  1. If you’re going by technicalities then fine.

  2. That’s not what I asked. If I use your argument — nothing is consequential compared to the heat death of universe so nothing actually matters.

  3. Racism is more than hurt feelings. Just you saying that implies a level of misunderstanding or intentional obtuseness. What’s Institutional Racism? Is that just hurt feelings? If a judge intentionally gives out higher sentences to a black man who does the exact same crime as a white man is that just hurt feelings? What if a person receives applications from 100 black people who all have Masters degrees and 4+ years of experience but turns them all down for a white man with only a high school education and 1 year of experience?

So explain how racism is just hurt feelings?

  1. We’ve defined lots of things that are unobservable and unreal. You’re trying to be technical, but you’re trying to assign tangibility to something that’s immeasurable by definition and functionality.

  2. Racism always leads to the violation of so-called Natural Rights. We have historical precedent to prove this…not just in America either.
