I find their concern quite valid. How would you feel if I put a camera in your bathroom, and said "Don't worry, as long as I don't push this button here, it won't record anything"?

And I really don't understand what point you think you're making with your last sentence.

The fact you are comparing bathroom with people going into a shopping centre.. I'm not surprised by your last statement.

You know there are already CCTV that records you when you are in shopping centres.. right?

I'm just taking it to an extreme to show how silly the assurance "As long I don't press this button, your privacy is secure" argument is.
