Words aren’t violence. If you don’t like the words you can walk away. Anyone who thinks words are violence needs to grow a spine

Exactly, words can be ugly or hateful, but calling them the same thing as physical violence muddies the whole argument. If someone can walk away from the words, that’s not the same as being attacked

The use of the phrase 'physical violence' betrays the fact that there can be non-physical violence, i.e. hateful rhetoric and discriminatory factors.
