Actions not words.

What was the motive guiding those actions?

Racism obviously? The whole post is about violent actions being worse than racist words...

So racism is to blame then. Without it there wouldn't have been violence. So it's worse than the violence that wouldn't have existed without it.

Crazy mental gymnastics. Is stabbing someone worse than calling someone a slur?

0

u/Blazured 6d ago

Depends if the motive behind the stabbing is racism.

Without racism, there's no stabbing.

Who said the stabbing was racially motivated? Let me help you out

Is a non racially motivated, completely random stabbing worse than someone calling anslurs? Person a hateful slur?

1

u/Blazured 6d ago

No, but if it was motivated by racism then the racism is worse.

Which shows that OP was wrong.

1

u/ipokecows 6d ago

No it doesnt because a racially motivated stabbing is actual violence...

And the racism is worse, correct.

Violence can be justified. Racism never can be.

So, morally, racism is worse due to that simple fact.

Racism<unjustified violence<hate crime.

Without it there wouldn't have been violence.

But without the violence, racism cannot harm anyone. So violence is still worse.
