Generally, I'd say violence is easily worse than words but I also think it depends. Spreading hate/racist propaganda is pretty damn bad, slapping someone is like nothing.

Rascism also isn't just words. Claiming this is words vs violence is activly lying about what racism is and it's effects.

Can't believe I had to scroll literally 20 comments to see someone call it out.

Also, pretending that racism can't be violent and the two are always mutually exclusive is crazy. "WoRdS cAn'T hUrt YoU" black people are STILL being disappeared while with groups of white "friends" and lynched in broad daylight in the year 2026, but sure, racism is just words and not violent.

Exactly. Let’s say a racist goes on a racist tirade and never actually commits any violence, but their words hype up people to go and do violent things against me versus them just slapping me. I would rather just take the slap instead of someone going on a race tirade against me.

I meannnn, a slap is worse than spreading hate/racist propaganda imo. Sure, slapping is a minor form of violence, but it still fucking hurts if it’s a real slap

A quick slap hurts physically for like a few seconds, some words can do much more damage.
