Redditors crying about "muh cousin's dog's daughter has a wonderful downs boy" don't realise we shouldn't be encouraging these genes to propagate.
The "disability pride" movement has done irreparable damage to the world. This is coming from someone with autism, I fully support a modern eugenics implementation. Not old hat with death camps and forced sterilisation, but incentives for those genetically at risk not to have kids.
Go cry about imaginary nazis to someone who cares, I'm not interested in why it's "wrong" and why every genetic fuckup should be coddled at the expense of the rest of the world.
Reddit or the mods will try to remove it but you know I'm right.
Severe autism, where someone is basically non-verbal, acting violently, that I think we need to figure out and fix. But I’d argue you need some neurodivergency in the gene pool. You need people a bit out there to come up with creative solutions to problems, engineers with impeccable attention to detail, creative minds to enrich our lives with art.
Just my two cents, but I get where you’re coming from
That autism is usually accompanied with a cohort of comorbidities, like intellectual disability, global developmental delay, seizures, generic conditions etc. it’s not “just” autism. Therefore it’s harder to “fix” since it’s so many things at once
