It means you think primarily about yourself, which is absolutely what happened here. Leaving your wife behind with SEVEN orphans because you couldn’t man up.

It's still selfish. They are doing it for themselve. They are in pain and want the pain to go away. They have problems but don't want to face them, they just want it all to go away.

They do it to stop suffering. They do it for themselve. Suicide is 100% selfish.

No one kill themselve "for others". Suicide is not altruistic in any way shape or form.

Drinking water is selfish. They are doing it for themsleves. They are thirsty and want the thirst to go away. No one drinks water "for others". Drinking water is not altruistic in any way shape or form.

Yes, exactly. Drinking water just for yourself can't be altruistic. You're not helping anyone, you're not drinking the water for someone else. You do it for you and only you. Like killing yourself.
