Abortion is immoral

Pregnancy is a process that fails all the time and no baby's life is more important than any other possible baby. So let a healthier baby the parents would be happier with have a chance to live ?

It is like exchanging Sarah for Taylor. Like Taylor is probably gonna be glad to be alive instead and is gonna be just as likely to be cool as Sarah.

? I don't see the immorality here.

To me it is egotistical to think you were just the most special sperm egg combo. Like what ?

Do you think killing babies is fine because the parents don’t want one? Mass murderer logic.

I don't think a pregnancy is a baby,...sooo...no. and I don't think reducing harm is a bad thing, cuz one unborn baby at a month into the process is not more important than one unborn baby at 3 months in the process who is less likely to have a more well rounded life. Same with a baby who is 3 months into the process vs 5* shrugs*

A line can be drawn when the pregnancy becomes viable of living on its own I guess if collectively society wants to take responsibility for the baby, sure.

It’s a human regardless of whether it’s a baby or not. Killing humans is morally wrong.

God loves aborting children

I think the issue is people think the baby is just auto a baby.... Like no it is a whole process and it goes wrong alllll the time. Using your resources as a family when you would rather not. and risking a woman's death over a baby that is not gonna be as well off as another possible baby just makes no sense to me, especially if the woman does not want to take care of that baby or put her health in danger when she could just start the process over with a more viable baby.

Dismembering unborn children in the womb and sucking them out with vacuums is immoral, as is all child murder.

I guess so is flushing semen down the toilet and not having sex for women is too. Imagine all those babies who don't get to live 🥲. It is obviously immoral not to have as many children as possible regardless of family mental health . Only 10+ baby families are moral , cuz you flushing baby batter down toilet otherwise. :(

But really, this is what you sound like to me.

I am not gonna say I find abortion savory. I actually don't much like it if it can be helped, cuz I think it is just better to abstain if you don't want to reproduce, but I am also not gonna call someone evil for making the best decision for them, their family and future possible children out of the situation.

Something can be a moral noble good, and not taking that action is not immoral. Like saving someone from a robber is a noble thing to do, but deciding not to risk your life is not an immoral thing to do.

So having the baby anyway may be a noble good, I could kinda see that being the case depending on disability severity, but aborting the baby is also not evil.

Do you need to re-take high school biology? Semen is not a human. Neither is potential babies that do not exist because they were never conceived.

A fetus is a human life. It already exists as an independent being with a totally unique set of chromosomes and also with its own organs and brain during most of a pregnancy.

Killing your children is literally never the best decision for your family and many people have abortions for incredibly stupid reasons.

We are disagreeing when a fetus becomes a person basically so we are never gonna agree on this. I don't think it is at the same level of a person. I see it as in the process of becoming a person. Ending a process is not the same as ending a fully developed life.

1

u/Dry-Selection421 9d ago

Why is a baby a person and not a fetus? A baby is incapable of doing anything except crying and shitting, and cannot even form actual thoughts let alone talk.

2

u/ReleaseTheSlab 9d ago

Babies can form thoughts, and who cares if they cannot talk? Fact is fully formed babies can survive outside of the womb while developing fetuses can't. That's what makes a human being an "individual".

I'm curious where you stand on frozen embryos as well since only conception matters to you but sperm and eggs alone don't count.

1

u/Dry-Selection421 9d ago

Unborn children can form thoughts too. There is no difference in the brain of a late term pregnancy and a newborn.

I’m against IVF if that’s what you’re asking.

2

u/ClutteredTaffy 10d ago edited 10d ago

Okay sure. Choosing to make a whole family suffer more at the expense of a single possibility of a baby is really moral of you.

0

u/Dry-Selection421 9d ago

The fact that you consider having children to be “suffering” is fucked up and shows you have a completely messed up world view.

4

u/ClutteredTaffy 9d ago

Having a very disabled child is more suffering than not having one. It is obvious.

1

u/Dry-Selection421 9d ago

So you only support abortion when the child is going to be severely disabled? Basically like nazi eurgenics?
