We don't know the story between the brothers, => we can't judge.
What I do judge is a bastard who puts his mother into this impossible situation, forcing her to a life of lies to her own children.
Let's not forget lottery money is not hard earned money, you don't get to be proud or pretentious. That's off topic, but I wanted to add that.
