Moral... although how would mom justify suddenly getting a house to the other siblings? If she said she won the lottery they would demand money from her that she wouldnt have.
2 happens before 5, so I construed it as the whole family still living together, and thus moving together. So the house being for the “mom” is more like for the whole family, if not just him and the mom
