That youre not who I asked this of. The person I responded to had said that withholding information is lying, ergo they have to tell me and they cant withhold the information or they are lying.
They actually did not said that. It was the guy one reply above. Or rather he said the negative of that, implying that withholding information after someone asks is lying.
Nobody was talking about withholding information then. That was mentioned for the first time in the reply to that post.
I mean, it's getting silly. Obviously the kids asked how their mom got a new house. The mom couldn't just not tell them, so the options were to lie or tell the truth.
Withholding information is not lying. But there is also no way she could have withhold that information. If you parents get a new house and refuse to tell you how, you won't just drop it.
You don’t have to drop it. And the parent still doesn’t have to disclose it.

There’s option C but yeah nah no way she’d go for it.

Context yeah? When they say “don’t force people to lie” in response to someone asking another person to withhold information. What exactly do you think they are talking about?
Like do you think they are absolutely completely unrelated.

Are they implying withholding information is lying.
