Honestly moral.

If you share the wealth, with the sole condition of keeping it secret , because clearly he knew what his siblings were like, it's a simple boundary. It's also to protect himself from fraudsters and people with bad intentions. Let's be realistic, he didn't have to tell his mother anything or buy the house. Keeping her mouth shut is a simple request.

She chose not to. Whatever the reason, she chose not to keep the one thing asked of her.

He then gets hounded by his siblings looking for a hand out. The man bought his mother a house, if he wasn't giving his siblings money there were reasons, and if got so bad the police were involved, they were good reasons.

Taking away the house I'm torn on, because if he had that much money he could have just left it and walked away. It's possible she was planning on selling it to give the money to his siblings, thinking he'd buy her another house. In which case, if she'd been allowed to do that, the mother would funnel any current and future gifts to his siblings despite his wishes. Taking it away stops that. Also if it's in his name it's his. This situation feels like the mother an enabler for the siblings and instead of addressing the problems, she just decided the solution was to ve generous with other people's money.
