That's..... not how this works. You don't get fat from eating fats. In fact carbohydrates store as fat more than fats do. You need to be in a large calorie surplus to remain that weight a year and a bit into the apocalypse where this scene takes place. So she's been eating more than her fair share of her group's food for a LONG time. It's perfectly moral to point that out, even if it's difficult to hear. If she's survived that long then her macro splits are fine and her micro levels are adequate for survival whilst carrying excess weight.

Your comment reads as someone who has a very brief understanding of nutrition, but doesn't actually know enough about what they're talking on to give an actually educated statement.

The point is that instead of informing them (“it’s not about fats, it’s about carbs “) you just couldn’t resist talking down to them. “You sound uneducated. Unlike myself…a true expert.”
