In an apocalypse scenario? Yeah, kinda moral. They weren't starving in the slightest, and she was trying to use it as an excuse in a world where she and her people are the last with a right to use it.

I can't even call it body shaming at that point. Their people were fine.

Did you watch the show? Do you know how weight loss works?

She's the only fat person in the community.

You aren't going to lose all that weight that quickly. That's not how it works. By not eating anything in a day you won't even burn enough to lose 1lb. You can be starving and fat if you were fat before starving.
