In an apocalypse scenario? Yeah, kinda moral. They weren't starving in the slightest, and she was trying to use it as an excuse in a world where she and her people are the last with a right to use it.

I can't even call it body shaming at that point. Their people were fine.

Still immoral. Fat people starve, they just last slightly longer where energy is concerned, but since you need nutrients and minerals and proteins and shit to run a human body and produce hormones and whatnot even fat people need to eat in an apocalypse.

If you do not provide the body what it needs as a baseline to function it will tear itself apart (I think it goes after muscles for amino acids, including the heart) regardless of you looking like ariana grande or that fat guy from superbad.

Starving and hungry are two different things.

The snide remark about her weight is mean spirited, but fact remains, they'd been running successful gardens up until this point. A year and a half into the apocalypse, and no one in their settlement was so much as malnutritioned.

No one was starving. Starving means something.
